The second book in the Boston Blight universe is launching this coming Friday, February 13th, 2023. I am so excited to share this book with you. So far, my ARC readers have really enjoyed it. My cover designer, Angel Leya, knocked it out of the park with this one. Of course, she does that with every book, so I am not surprised! Her skills are fantastic, and I love working with her.

This book introduces some new characters, but the familiar favorites are still around. However, book three (currently titled “Always Winter”) will be following a new character entirely! It’s written, and I’m doing an editing pass on it before sending it off to my editor. My husband may actually be doing his first novel for book four in the series, too, which is exciting!

The way the series is going to be structured is a number of individual series and standalones following specific characters (Smoke & Magic follows Cassiel, for example). However, all of them will be tied into the metaplot, which at the moment is looking like… a lot of books. I’m going to be trying to up my game and write more than a book a year in order to get everything out to people. But we will see what happens. Particularly with my husband joining me on this journey as an author!

In all honesty, the world is just as much his as it is mine since the two of us created the setting and many of the characters together. It’s a labor of love, and I don’t want to take credit for everything. We are in this together, and him writing with me is honestly everything I could want in the world as far as my writing career goes. It’s so exciting!

Honestly, this year has a lot of exciting milestones for my writing career between book two hitting on Jan 13th, the writing conference I am running on Feb 17-19, being asked to speak at a local author event in April, and attending the 20books conference in November.

There’s so much going on!

With all of this happening, I am hoping to find time to rest, help my husband recover from a broken foot, and still do things like eat lunch every once in a while. But… yeah. This is a lot for me. And I am very excited.

All this ramble to say: Book come out Jan 13. You buy. Make happy. Good things. Yes.
